Is there a plant labeling program/method?

Cincinnati (Anderson, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi, everybody--

Now that my plant collecting is getting a bit beyond me, I thought I would start labeling some of them--

Here is an idea I had, but I am not sure how to get it done:

I bought some Paw Paw Everlast markers. Now I want to paint them 'camoflage green' with metal paint, then I want to somehow create a weatherproof clear label for the plant name with my computer, attach it to the marker and then spray them with some kind of waterproof spray to fix them...

Or maybe 'Dymo' has a system?

Does this make any sense at all? Is there some kind of software to create plant labels? And weather proof blanks (from Avery labels, perhaps?) available?

If anybody has any thoughts, please let me know. Thanks. t.
