I know this isn't gardening. Just wanted to say how much I respected Peter Jennings, a great gift from Canada. I don't like newscasters but I really liked this guy. He will be missed.

Peter Jennings was the one I turned to each night for information and consolation. He was always the gentleman and the "truth-sayer". Canada can indeed be proud of her native son. Thank you for sharing him with us.

i hate to date myself but i remember our indignation when he abandoned us to go south of the border in 1964
but in all those years i believe he stayed true to his ideals as a reporter, even though he became a 'persona' he was always a reporter first
