Hi everyone,
On Sunday, My husband and I met MsC and MrC and the Zoocrew. We are animal lovers also, so we felt right at home there. We had a great time walking and talking in MsC garden. Wow! What a wonderful lady. She was so generous with her beautiful plants.
Oh by the way, I was talking about you Susanne. LOL I told MsC that we met also about a year ago. I also told her how beautiful of a young lady you are. I said I would love to have your figure too. I did once, but that was before three kids and middle age spread hit me. LOL
We had a wonderful time there. My only regret was time. It flew past so quickly. I just wanted to thank you MsC for inviting me to your home, and sharing your beautiful plants with me. It was a pleasure meeting you both. Thanks again my friend.

We did have a wonderful day! Patti is the sweetest, warmest person I've met in a long time. Her and her husband were a joy to share the day with.
The ZooCrew loved having visitors, too. The time went by way too fast to get everything in!!!
Patti & I talked a mile a minute and when the day was done we still had things to talk about! I felt like I had met old friends, and I really hope you both come back again, again!
I recommend anyone who has a chance to do a trade in person, does so. It is a lot of fun to meet & do a trade in person. It gives so much more meaning to the gifts shared on both sides. Our trade was for plants/ other non plant items and I'm so pleased.
I'd love to met anyone else that comes this way, so Susanne next time you're here we should all get together.

Now that I have the African violet bug, I went shopping this morning to get all my stuff together for rooting my plants and cuttings. I bought my soil mix and perlite and Walmart. They didn't have the solo cups I wanted , so off to Target I went. While I was there I bought a big glass cookie jar , but still not solo cups. Finally, I went to Kroger and found the 3 oz solo cups I needed . I was so happy to get home and out of the Texas heat.
I wish you Danak and the other AV forum members could come here to Texas and meet us too. It would be so much fun. Well I better get busy on my planting. Take care. all.

Oh that sounds like yall had a blast! Guess what! I'm in town for the next couple weeks till around the 21st. This weekend (lakehouse with the future in laws), Monday and Tuesday (wedding appts) are no good but otherwise I'm open for the most part. I know Maggimoo wanted to meet up too. We should figure something out!

Donna it was soo much fun to meet Patti & her hubby and do the trade in person. The time went by tooo fast and I didn't even get to share all the plants with her I wanted so we are going to try to get together again soon.

I am pretty much free until Sunday when we leave. I'm not great at organizing people...lol I wonder if Patti and Ms C you can come up with a time when you're both free and I'll be ready and there. On Sat I have a caterer tasting (mmm) until about 1 and then we're going to a wedding (at the place I'm getting married to see how it looks) for about a half hour around 8. Otherwise any time is good. Let me know if yall can work anything out! Susanne

I can do Friday if my DH gets his truck fixed by then. He may need to take my car if he can't. . He is working on it right now. Crossing fingers. I can tell you better maybe later tonight.

Friday's great for me. If my mom wanted to come (been trying to get her involved in dave's forever) then she can go after 330 sometime but before the Astros game lol. Maybe we shouldn't wait for her! Anytime is fine here!
What part of Houston are you guys in or near? I'll be starting out from Conroe (about 30 miles north of Houston) @ 2:30, so it could be an hour or more before I get there. Let me know, I'm really looking forward to it!
I'm in Southwest Houston, just outside the loop but I don't mind driving.
I am in Southeast Clear lake area. ( Nasa ) . Lottie is 20 minutes south from me. Ok where do you all want to meet? PLMK..

I guess somewhere in the middle of the south part of town? You guys decide, since you know the area better than me. It will probably take me about 2 hrs to get there.
What time ? The time is important , so if it a luncheon or a dinner meeting. Then we can decide were the best place to meet. PLMK.

I can't leave Conroe until about 2:30pm, it will take me around two hrs to get to that part of town.
Well, I just got some very bad family news, I will not be able to make it after all.
I'm sorry to miss this chance to meet you all, but it can't be helped. Be sure to take pictures when you guys meet up, and post them. Everyone loves to see when DG people get together.
I'd appreciate prayers for Albert Sandoval, my father-in-law. He has just been diagnosed with cancer.
