I have a hanging basket of Blue daze a 1 gallon container. How much water do they need? Do they need fertilizer for blooms? If i have them in basket. Does it need water every day? Please explain!!

You might need to water it about every 3 days when it is in a hanging basket and when the weather is this hot. It likes the heat, but the soil shouldn't be allowed to completely dry out. Water it until the watercomes out of the drain holes in the hanging basket. I don't know about fertilizing it. I read in its entry in the PlantFiles that if you do fertilize it, use a 6-6-6 fertiler. Because it is in a container, use half the amount of fertilizer that is recomende and perhaps water it with the weak strength fertilizer each time you water. If the potting soil in the hanging basket has fertilizer in it already, you will not need to fertilize it. If the hanging basket does not receive at least 3 to 4 hours of sun, this may be the reason it is not blooming.
