glads

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

1/2 my glad leaves are brown, other half is still green, but I can't stand that ratty look. is it too early to cut them off?

Pearisburg, VA(Zone 7a)

I would cut them - but that's because 'clean up' isn't far off for my area.

Clarence Center, NY

For the second year my glad patch has produced very little even though I have planted over 200 bulbs. The plants seem to dry out without exposing the flower and if the flower opens it has a wrinkled dry out look. What is wrong and what causes this. Last year Buffalo, NY had a rained out summer but this year it has been very very hot and dry to require everyday watering and sometimes twice a day. Hope someone can help. Thank You Liz

Sounds like thrips. Gotta spray with a product you can find at most any garden center. But those nasty THRIPS just reak havoc.
