Anyone know the hybridizer to ....
She is lovely, this is what keeps me hooked,
Doris
She sure looks like her momma but she's pretty. What are the leaves like?
Very pretty Julie.
Very sweet...
LOL ooops same pic but you can see no serration.
TY Linda ;-)
did anyone else grow these out & know who the hybridizer is????????
TY Carole :-)
What are your temps today?
Well it's lingering in the high 70's to mid 80's...it's 82 right now... Sorry I'm just getting on again, got my little GD Hailey Michelle for a few hours :-) She's sick *sigh*
Such a pretty flower, very nice :))
Margo
Oh I am sorry to hear she is sick! Hope she recovers fast :)
I am trying to keep track of the temps here with my brugs and was just curious at your temp now. Thanks so much for the reply
What a lovely Brug! I especially like the 1st picture you posted of the pinwheel effect. It's so cute that two of her tendrils are crossed in an "X"....for good luck!
Awwww ty, I hope she does too, I tried to tell the moma and daddy last week she had a runny nose and she was acting like her throat hurt, but they just think I'm an over reacting or something....that was 3 days ago....now she's on over the counter medicine. She needs to go to the doctor :-( Thank you for your concern :-).
What are your temps there right now ? Is it affecting the color of yours? Mine usually don't get as dark with hot temps but some are proving me wrong. I remember last year in the fall my brugs were darker though. Some were that is.
Thanks Margo! :-)
lol Shirley you noticed that too lol....I was thinking at the time I saw that, she was crossing her little tendrils like fingers....wonder what she was wishing? lol
Thank you!
days temp 86 an tonight 64, mine isn't open enough yet to determine - I am hopeful tomorrow night perhaps.
Sometimes the sniffles are the worst when it inclues a scratchy throat! poor miserable babe! Dr.'s sometimes are the best to get it nipped in the bud faster!
Ohhhhhhhhh what I wouldn't do for those temps in the 60's! That's great weather for the brugs to me. I hope your's opens up tonight, I'm totally watching for it to...crossing my fingers for ya....Hey maybe that's what my brug was doing in the first pic of her pinwheel pic lol, how cute was that! lol
I agree, it's always better to nip it in the bud before it get's to the misery part and she get's cranky. But who listens to me??? lol
Yes, I think I can make out kind of wavy leaves. Are they fuzzy?

I think so, I'm pretty sure they are. I can say this for her...she's out there in FULL sun/heat all day long, toughin' it out with the heat and this bloom has lasted going on it's 2nd full day so wherever that gene comes from she's a tough one. AND the best thing I like about her is she isn't being affected by the bugs.
Gosh, I wonder if the hybridizer is even around anymore. Hmm....I know she looks similar to other's out there and there are more deeper and prettier one's out there but she is still so dainty...she's really small compared to the other's. I like her :-) She's one of my babies lol
Beautiful shots and nice flower too. Pinwheel, huh?
I now know there are others out here really interested in the fragrance dept. It's good there are brugs that won't antagonize a sensitive respiratory system and ones that excite us smellaholics.
So what's the rest of the story?
You love her for all the right reasons. I've never grown the other one but I do know that Isabella is one of the top 10 in my book. A very strong and healthy girl. She froze in my greenhouse a couple of times. Died back to the soil. She was always the first to recover.
WOW, Julie, she is pretty, I LOVE the ones with six points, they start off special - your first photo is really nice, she's a real show off!! I have Golfito and she is very healthy and very green and she has flushed continuously, takes zero care, not a big magnet (not yet anyway), and can stand sun all day, but only a hint of fragrance, I'm hoping it will pick up when we have the first cold snap...
Hi Blaine
She smells really sweet, it's not overpowering but soft.
I'm a smellaholic too, their fragrance perks me up, I've collected perfume since I was a child, and I consider brugs a living extension to my collection...
Hi Sherry
Thank you Sherry :-)...This one has been neglected too, with my taking care of Hailey during this heat spell we're having I don't find myself out there alot with her but in the early mornings to water and evenings.... but still she seems to truck right along with or without my care and heat & humidity to boot. She's a very prolific bloomer so I would say she has alot of her moma's genes (Golfito/Isabella). I wonder where down the line she get's this small flower she produces?
I love to smell them...I have one in a pot of my sister's that I've been babysitting and it bloomed and it's smells divine when I walk out the door onto my porch.
Just wonderful, Julie! I love the drops of water on her in the photos, looks lucious.
And I hope that Hailey is feeling better very soon. Grandma's always know best LOL, I know it took me a few years as a momma to figure that out!
Sherry, you figure out how to bottle Harlot and Butterfly and send me the price list!
