Hi everyone! I thought I would quit lurking and join in. I bought my first hoya (green carnosa) 3 or 4 years ago, then started adding what I could find in the local marts. I later gave in to temptation and ordered a couple from Logees. After some of them started blooming I became completely addicted and there's no turning back! During this process, I was reading every single post (and occasionally posting) on the GW hoya forum and soaking up valuable information. I found this forum a few months ago and did the same thing, and recognize several posters from GW. To be honest....I've read, and reread, so many posts that I feel like I know some of you pretty well, lol!
Mel has been my official enabler (lucky, lucky me!!!). She has very generously gifted me with beautiful, healthy cuttings and sent me a list of everything she has available. Awesome selection (very reasonable pricing, too!) and it was so difficult trying to make choices! (I'm seriously thinking of adding on a sunroom :-)) Plus, she has answered all my questions and volunteered additional very helpful information. I have gifted some of my previously loved non-hoya plants to friends and neighbors to make room for more hoyas. DH thinks I'm nuts....giving away perfectly lovely plants only to replace them with other plants. To him, a plant is a plant. He does like it when I'm expecting plants in the mail because that's the only time I'll check the mailbox...otherwise, it's up to him.
I'm thrilled to have these forums where there is so much valuable information available, very friendly and helpful people, and I really appreciate the contributions everyone makes.
Introduction and joining in the fun!
Welcome aboard. You have all the markings of a true hoya addict!!! LOL I am new to this forum too. I have had hoyas about 2 years now, can't get enough of them.
It is wonderful to know that there are people out there with the same adiction!! In the town I live, there are few people that know what a hoya is!! Say nothing about that they bloom. There is a lot to learn about hoyas and is a great place to find about them!

Thanks everyone for the friendly welcome!
Heather, I'll tell you what took me so long....I was scared to join!!! Scared of getting further addicted! I thought if I just read the forum for info....I might be safe from temptation :-). Wrong! Since that didn't work, I figured I might as well just jump in. Plus, it just looked like a fun group of people!
Sharon, your a wise one, but this temptation is so hard to bet. Can't say I minded accepting defeat to join.
Susan, here's how you can easily tell Mel and I apart -- she answers questions...I only ask them ;-)
Welcome to the Group Sharon, glad that you joined the fun here :)
