Bonded with Rosamond x Sunset #PS1104-1

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Rosamond x Sunset #PS1104-1 is Poppysue's baby! She said it would be ok if I trashed it but I just can't. After all there's not very many Poppysue babies out there. I guess I am sentimental about this brug.

I love that it flowers so frequently and heavily. I love the buds. I love its pest resistance. I even love the funny way the mature leaves turn up instead of being flat. This brug is kind of quirky. Belongs in the Special Olympics for brugs but I still love it.

Sorry the first pic is not better.

The juvenile leaves were big and intensely serrate

The mature leaves are small and more wavy than serrate

OHHH, I like the leaves. Aren't there laws against intentionally killing brugs?? LOL And it isn't even a "slow bloomer"

The buds are growing. Produces alot of twisted buds

White of course. I was disappointed at first.

When you spend so much time caring for anybody's seedling it becomes your baby. A few little quirks gives it character! :)

I'm going to give this one its full two year evaluation before I make my final decision.
Horsewoman those juvenile leaves are gone now. The mature leaves look nothing like the juveniles did. I love those juvenile leaves too.

Vicki now that is a beautiful Brug, Wow! I really do love the serration and the waves on the leaves....I hope this one makes it over the two year evaluation period cos' I would LoVE to get a piece of THAT!

Beautiful! Oh and I like the way the calyx comes down over the top part of the corolla, it's so dainty!

Thanks Julie! She makes a great mostly shade brug in my environment but the flowers still wilt badly in the heat. And they do not last very long. I'm still going to give her a chance!

Beautiful plant. Let us know how it does.

I'm glad Vicki, she's worth keeping in the shade. I would! I can see where some would perform better in shade than in full sun and that's ok by me! Very nice, I like it ALOT

Hugs
Julie
