She was received as brug cutting that is labeled as Charles Grimaldi lol lol He however is labeled as Isabella and bloomed true to form for Charles Grimaldi. I think the person just got the labels switched, but before I switch them to what I think are the rightful owners I would appreciate an opinion.
Pictures taken last night.

Isabella?? What do you think???
Sure does look like her to me! She's beautiful! I call this flower shape "Isabella struts her stuff" :)
It looks/sounds like that's what happend. I know it can get hectic sending out multiple packages, checking off what's who's, and labeling everything as you go! AAaaeeee!
I used to do a lot more of it than I do now; it was making me crazy and old, fast!
But it was really fun, making people so happy with brugs they didn't yet have. I played with auctions for a while too (oh so rarely now) but that was even worse, with the worry that I wouldn't meet peoples expectations. It's much more fun to send/receive presents!!
And no one gets mad at the occasional mistake ;)
She is so pretty Judy....I'll let the X-perts judge cos' I don't know all the details of Isabella...all I know is she's beautiful :-)
I'm trying very hard to make sure my labels are correct so that when I pass on cuttings this fall, people won't be disappointed.
Growing Brugs this summer has been interesting, exciting and hard work!!! Although I've read a lot, searched the internet and read a great number of old DG threads I'm still learning what works best for me personally and I believe that is the key to being successful at growing them.
Thank you for your opinions. Any and all comments are welcome!!!

Amen Amen Amen Judy! I totally agree that first hand experience is the only experience that really counts. There aint no books and there aint no one single person or group that has all the answers. What works for you might not work for me.
So there ... I said it. lol!
You gals have piqued my interest as I have 2 labeled Isabella.
I love her dearly, Mild scent, medium grower and beautiful!!
The blossoms are gorgeous too.
I had no idea that a cv could change colors lol!!
I was wondering why I had so many different colors.
Im going out to check the petals now!! ;)
Thanks! 8D
Yup she has the petals as described and the leaves as well ;)
I have 2 Yipppeeee!!!

Judy...yours has much more of a vibrant Pink - almost florescent - at least on my monitor. Mine is a soft muted pink. sigh. who knows....
Diane
Diane, that is what I was going to say. My Isobella is not nearly as colorful as Judy's. Also, a different shape. I was going to say maybe the type of soil or fertilizer made the difference. But it wouldn't have anything to do with the shape.
Gotta go to the gallery. Jeanette
This is the Plant File listing for Isabella

makes it even more interesting.
I have two more one is blooming now also and looks just like this one. BUT the other one labeled Isabella sure looks like it might be white. ... lol lol
I think the Brug Fairy was in an impish mood and changed all my labels.. although some also have masking tape which were on the original cuttings. lol lol
I couldn't make it to the Ga fall roundup last year, so ButterflyGal came by here, and we worked until after dark cutting huge branches to stuff into her car. We did label each one, but as they were cut up at the swap I'll bet there were plenty of people who meant to mark a piece, but never could remember just what it was! I'll bet I'm responsible for a whole bunch of unknowns as the result of that crazy time!!
Please don't feel bad, I'm sure the people who got them enjoyed them and that after all is what matters. It's nice to know the name and background if you are trading, etc. But a mystery can be a pleasure also.

The Gretchen picture of Isabella best shows her more full figured shape. Another face of Isabella. She has so many. Another neat thing about her is that she has flushes of all 6 pointers sometimes.
insignis Coral has serrate leaves
Oh WOW!! Great pictures, love the information..... a person could go off the deep end looking at all these different pinks.
