I have a very well rooted fat Super Nova to trade for a genuine Isabella. Anyone interested?
Super Nova trade
yea, I am interested. I have two Isabellas. How can I verify they are "true" Isabellas though. Can I post pictures here to show you -- what do you need closeups of to tell?

great photo with definition of bloom, I will be watching this thread just to see what mine actually is now LOL
I have one marked Isabella/Golfito? What is the difference and how do I know which one it is?
Oh, Cool Liz - I am going to run home on my lunch hour now and snap some pics for comparison. Hang on to that SuperNova till I check...LOL
Diane
Some people believe they are the same and I'm one of them. I've grown them along with Grand Marnier pink and could not tell a difference. As far as I know no one has successfully crossed any of the three. It's been a long time since I've heard anything more about it.
I had to leave my Isabella behind in Tennessee. I'm sure she is long gone by now. You guys are posting your beautiful Isabella pictures and it makes me miss her real bad.
I thought they were one in the same but just wanted verification. I have one tagged out there. Going out to see if it's the little minature one that looks like a tiny adora.
The first picture was taken July 30 2003 That flower stayed the same from birth to death. It never darkened up. And hung just the way you see it for the entire life.
2nd picture Oct 20 03 incredible recurve for Isabella. I've seen it happen with the darker flowers but not as a pale pink. Flower never darkened
ahh.. I thought it was the heat that was making the blossoms limp. Good to know
The heat does make them very limp and it is normally what turns them so dark pink.
Isabella did not normally recurve so strongly in my TN environment. But that particular year she put on a show of so many different looks it amazed me. She was pale when she should have been dark. Dark when she should've been pale. Severe recurve, no recurve.
Entertaining to say the least.
So we need a DNA test to be sure it is a true Isabella, right? lol lol
Just wanted to say, I truly appreciate all the information you are providing in this thread.

Okay - Liz go ahead - shoot me down -- I can take it -- do I have a fake??
LOL
I got her as a trade last fall and I know the person who sent her truly believed it was Isabella.

Your leaves look right but I'm not sure about the flower. Let's trade anyway. And Jazz I'd like to trade with you too. I have exactly two extra Super Nova cuttings.
OK? ... vicki
yippee...Vicki...(sorry I called you Liz)...
you've got mail
Diane
Wow.. Excellent! going to email
Gosh Julie your June Isabella sure does look the way mine did. The anthers are fused the same as mine too. Compared to the flowers in hotter weather would you ever dream it was the same brug if you didn't know better? I call the pale pink recurved flowers "Isabella feeling sexy!". The dark very wide open version I call "Isabella swallows Tennessee" Limp pale pink I call "Isabella not tonight dear I have a headache" :)
LOL yep and what you said lololol
So spit it out, don't hold back now...say it....there are so many pink, they all look alike lol
Don't worry about it Diane. I'm not used to everybody's real name and I make mistakes too.
Julie there are so many pinks and they all look alike ... hee! :)
Thanks for the trade you two.
lol! Very good!
Although I read the above I would appreciate an opinion... on mine
