That is a beautiful hibiscus! Is it a tropical or perennial? I have many perennial varieties and would to do a seed trade if anyone is interested.

We have quite a few in plantfiles with swamp malow in the name - but I personally think swamp mallow is a common name for ones we see on the sides of roads and in fields ect. Kindof like the common daylily is called a ditch lily.

We don't see anything like those on the side of our roads. I wish we did. I'd get my handy dandy shovel out of the trunk of my car and dig myself a few. I'm always prepared with shovel and pots! My husband laughs at me, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one that does that.
