I wish these would all bloom at the same time. I try to catch some pictures of them as they bloom but I have missed so many this year. Here are the ones that I was able to get so far.
This one is a common on that I bought at lowe's but the price was right, clearanced out in a 3 gal container standard tree for $5.
Sharing my blooms
You have some real beauties there, just lovely. thanks for sharing the pictures. I love that Ocean Spray.
Absolutely Beautiful!!
Love that Cloud Nine. Ohhhh, if I ever see one.......
Gosh are those pretty!! Sugar Plum looks interesting!
Thank you for your replies. I am hoping on more blooming soon.
What gorgeous pictures! I love all of them, but especially Erin Rachel and Yellow Fringes!
Which fertilizer do you use on your Hibiscus and how often???
Thanks Shirley. I was using "spacecity hibiscus fertilizer" but it was getting a bit pricey for delivery so I went back to "Peters 20-20-20. I never use the bloom booster on anything but plumeria's and annuals. To tell the truth, I don't have a set time I fertilize but it is usually atleast once a week if not twice but I only use half strenght.

My husband ane I have a few variaties of hibiscus and are trying to aquire more all the time. Our local nurseries and stores like Lowe's and Wal-Mart only carry the same varieties that we already have.
Are all your's perennials or tropicals? We have both types. The tropicals we keep in the greenhouse over winter. We would be very interested in trading seeds or cuttings with you. We live in Danville VA. We could overnight some cuttings and they would be ok. The perennials we could trade seeds. Do you have a Texas Star? We also have pink dinner plates. Red dinner plates. Royal Pinks. Baby blues. We have tropicals that are peach colored and a vibrant red, and red miami's. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dot,
All of mine are tropicals. I haven't grown a perrenial hibiscus yet but the dinner plates are definately head turners.
It is really hard to get my tropicals toset seeds. Tropicals require just the right conditions to set pods and it was really agonizing last yr when I didn't get any seeds after all the time I spent trying so I decided not to try this year. I am not very good at trying to root cuttings from the tropicals so I don't bother. Also, most of mie are small yet. I purchased a lot through the co op here over the winter and they aren't big enough to get cuttings from yet. I also purchased some from Logees mail order which are still rather small. Some of the blooms are as big as the plant themselves. I wish I could help more.
If you go to the ebay seller I am trying (repeat trying) to link to , she has a few that I have because I recieved them from the co op. She sends great starter plants and a few were even blooming a few days after arrival.

thanks for the web site ,Dot just finished going over the info. I've got tropicals and perennials, the later just take up less room in the winter. But if you decide to try some of my perennials, just yell and I'll send some seeds. And when your tropicals get large enough they root real easy, well at least mine do. I've got 3 different types (red miami, and two others that are kind of a carnation looking fellow, one orange the other red) Chat at ya later. DotnMike
Great pics!
Kyle
Those same tropicals are about 8 feet tall now. Should have cut them back but I thought I would just see how big they would get in a pot. I'll send pics.
Oh what some beautiful flowers. I have 1 of these that grows tall and is about 4 feet and very red. And 1 that grows about 2 feet and very burgandy.
I keep forgetting how many flowers I have.
I love all the above pictures. Do any of them have seeds? My burgandy one seems not to and I wish I could make 2 of it.
