I used them high intensity LED lights like you see on key chains.
There simple to hook up and wont add any heat to the pond.
you can find them on ebay.

They take about 3.6 volts DC and low current.
So you can use a black wall wort power supply to
run them.

You have to add a resistor to each light then seal them up.

6 volt wall wort ... 120 ohm resistor needed.
12 volt wall wort ... 240 ohm resistor needed.

Im searching for some fish/plant safe epoxy so i can make up
some more for my pond and aquarium.

you can also find them with the restistor all ready build it but
you have to look for them and read the spects.

We found underwater lights at Harbor Freight for a lot less than the pond supply places were asking. It sits on the pond bottom or a shelf and has an adjustable tilt. It does add heat, but I only burn it for a couple hours. Fish need their sleep too.

You can get a whole set of lights to go around your pond starting at 20.00 from wal mart. I have had mine for 11 years with no problem.

Betty, What light are you talking about? What the name of these lights?

Mobile, AL(Zone 8b)

The brand name is Malibu. The kit comes with a low voltage power pack with auto on/off light sensor. The lights stick into the ground or a pot. Mine have been submerged a few times when the pond overflowed and they still work. You could stick them behind the bricks and get the glow effect you want.
