It was given to me to be re-potted - I am thinking the color is too pale as well. I am re-potting each of these in seperate pots (since I think they will be happier that way). What can I do to color him up?
Sickly Snake plant/ mother in laws tounge
The fact that the other plants in that grouping, especially what appears to be a Diff to the right, aren't fried leads me to believe they need more light.
Repot and put them in full sun, after weaning them in, and they should perk right up color-wise.

Well... (my right or your right??? the varigated leaves or oval?) actually the plant with the oval leaves (trying to ID that too) is a little toasty -- but only becase she left them on the back porch yesterday to bring them to me and they got sunburned.
I asked her about the color and she said they were the same color in the house. SO basically- they need a better location in the home with more light? Should I scratch fertilizer in the soil when I repot?
Are you keeping MIL tongue as an indoor plant? In my exp. there is no such thing as too much sun for this plant, with watering only when leaves flop over. I think more damage is done by overwatering, if anything else. Could it just be transplant shock? The other plant, (to the left as I look at pix) looks like a small schefflera. I'm not sure that is a good pairing as scheff. needs shade and water.
Having said this, my neighbor has a clump of MIL tongue near a window and it does well too. come to think of it, leaves may be greener, but it could also be different variety.
they came to me like this in the pot- I am planning on each variety in it's own pot. Yes she is keeping them as houseplants.
I will post better pics once I get them re-potted. It is too hot right now (heat ans humididy are really bad).
Thanks for the input.
