Varigated Mach is losing its varigation!!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

When little, it is nice and splotchy, but as it gets bigger, it loses its spots! My big one is totally green now.

Roz, don't feed them much nitrogen. Too much nitrogen makes them go all green.
Too much sun can also make them lose their variegation.

Is Nitrogen the first number in fertilizer?

Mine go back and forth so just hang on to it!It will get the white again.

Thanks; I will cut out some of the fertilizer and be patient. It is in full sun though, so I need to get it out of full sun. I am surprised it is even staying alive, but it is doing very well, getting bigger and bigger, and greener and greener!!

Nitrogen is the first number. Roz, don't move it now unless it's in a pot. It's too danged hot to be out there digging a big ear up and you will have to cut it back and lose it's beautiful leaves.
