Hello everyone!!

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

Hi I am a new member here and a big time lover of Plumeria.
Clare invited me as her guest and moved me into membership as well.
I am enjoying the style of this forum very much.
I am used to MPG.
I have over 200 plumies including seedlings from ACW, SCP and a nursery in India.
I am glad to be here and have another source of friends and information.
OH..BTW I live about 45 minutes from Miss. ;)

Hi Michael! Welcome and glad to see you here, buddy! I just know you will fit in here so well because you are kind and sweet and fun and a great person. It will be great to chat with you over here.

Nery, Maui Plumeria Gardens (MPG), Ammaron's Curly White (ACW), and Sarah's Curly Pink (SCP). We'll get you used to the lingo yet! I bet if I say "IB" or "HB," you would know what those are!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

yup. mental note made. thanks Clare, you're the best.

My pleasure:-) You don't have to worry about memorizing a bunch of abbreviations, if you don't want to, because we are among friends here, and we help each out with that kind of stuff:-)

Hi Michael,
I just joined the group too! What is this Nursery in India all about? Do tell!!
Paula

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

Wow!!!
What an overwhelming response!!
Gotta love it!
Hi Paula!! Glad to see more of my friends from MPG here!!
The nursery in India is Noamchampas nursery.
He sent me a nice bag o seeds, The seedlings are HUGE!!
Like 30 + inches and more than 1 inch thick.
Some look llike they are going to inflo at only 8 months!!
They are the most amazing of all my seedlings.
They are also pushing roots out of 3 gallon buckets already lol!!
I went to move one yesterday and found it had rooted to my deck!!
One seedling has incredible purple hues on the leafs.
Unfortunatelly the camera does it no justice.
Miss SCP is finnaly pushing leaves!! Im sooo excited!!
I keep waiting the arrival of my ACW, she took the long route dangit heh... :P
I have soo many inflos right now, and my unknown seedling of 9 years is throwing 2 inflos!!
I named her Mrs. Malestrom after my Mrs. ;)
She has only bloomed twice in 9 years, MPG taught me how to make her bloom!!! WooHoo!!

Welcome to all the newbies:-) It's great to see you here.

Tee hee! Tee hee! There are a few more that I would like to bring over here, but I'm plum out of my discretionary spending so they will have to wait.

I like very much how the discussions about growing plumerias are serious and sincere here. The other place seems to have threads which start out serious but deteriorate into silliness or arguments or other non-plumeria-related topics. I think the reason why is that Dave's has a forum for everything so, if one wanted to talk about pets, for example, they could go to the pet forum, etc. It seems that there is a forum for all subjects one would want to talk about.

Did you newbies know that you can subscribe to the forums that you want to? Just go to your "My Info" tab at the top of the page, then go to "Manage Your Preferences," then go to "Custom Menu," "Customize Home Page," and "Forums." When you select "Forums" from "Manage Your Preferences," you can check which forums you want to appear on your home page. If you ever want to see all the forums, you can just hit the tab "Forums" at the top of the page. I hope I explained that all right.

Hello - I am also new to this forum and this is my first real year for plumerias. I have some how managed to collect 50 so far. Nice to see that Miss is on this forum - she has been very helpful to me this year + a plant she sent was my first to bloom! Since I also live in an area that has a short growing season I will look forward to any helpful hints to get a jump on next years blooms.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)
