I've been waiting and waiting for my first brug bloom and it's finally here. This is 'Charles Grimaldi' and I think it was worth the wait Thanks again Kin.

First Brug Bloom!
Great way to start out too! A beauty!
It was worth waiting for its really nice so pretty....
It's beautiful. Yellow is my favorite color.
WONDERFUL!!! So proud for you and it's such a beautiful bloom that I know you are now addicted!!
Do you have any other Brugs? If so please tell us which ones.
Judy
I have a Peaches and Cream that had some pods, but they dried up and fell off. ?maybe too hot? Also a Dr Suess, another CG and 3 unnamed ones. Hope to see more bloooms soon. All but DR Suess have pods.

looks great.

Congrats Susan and from what I hear, you had a great flower for your first face-to-face.
Thanks! Today there are 3 opened. Some type of bug is eating holes in them so guess i will have to get out the safer spray.
Susan
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't you hate that. I have cucumber beetles here. I see them everywhere I go. They must be so prolific.
Susan ~
I now know how special it is to see that first Brug bloom!!! And it is a beauty! I bet you've looked at it 100 times, and smelled it about that many, I know I will when I get my first...LOL :-) Thanks for sharing it with us!!
Good Job ~

Isn't it a thrill. My Dr Seuss (my first brug bloom 2 years ago) is all budded up and starting to open. I should have a good flush this week end. Wish I could go home right now and see what he's doing. Yesterday afternoon, the first 2 blooms were just starting to open.
Hey Susan, is that CG tub sunk in the ground? Did you cut holes in the sides as well and if so is this the first time you've done it? Hopefully it's she too all and you'll share your experience of overwintering it. I'm just trying it myself.
This is my first year for growing brugs and all mine all in containers just sitting on the patio except for one that is in the ground. It is also a CG and only about half the size of the one in the pot. Think it is the difference in soil. I'm trying not to think about overwintering.LOL! I used 18 gallon totes for some of them and added 4 " of peagravel to the bottom of the containers. They sure don't blow over, but they also don't move very well. I'm just hoping I can get them into the kitchen where I have a sliding door on the south side of the house. Don't think I will be able to get them to the basement. Since I think the yellow above is also CG, that makes 3 of them, so I will only try to save one. If anyone wants cuttings, I will have some this fall.
