This brug holds up excellent in the heat. The tendrils are beautiful, I don't remember them being so long. Smells nice, too!

Is that a white one Loretta? Sure like the curly Q tendrils. I see a hint of pink. Have my eyes turned pink??

KBS?

Kurpark Bad Salzschlirf (KBS) is a favorite hybrid. The color ranges from cream to apricot. She is a reliable bloomer and a excellent plant for newbies.

KBS is an amazingly fast grower. a little slow on its first flush though. The leaves are huge and dark green. Like most Veriscolors it likes to naturally form itself into a tree form with a gorgeous top canopy with dozens of white and cream trumpets hanging down. It's one of those brugs that should get more attention because it's beautiful.

Oh wow.. It would be so nice to have a place to actually buy some of these. I get a little nervous about doing that at the few places I have found when I read stories of folks not getting what they wanted.. ah well.. gorgeous! ANd I like the idea of a plant good for newbies.

Gary, KBS is a x candida but she blooms in flushes like a versicolor.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Last year was my first with KBS and she quickly became my fav. I sent out tons of cuttings in the fall, didnt keep any for myself (unless its back there unmarked, lol) and ended up losing her over the winter. I think she's the first that i've lost "in the ground".
Beautiful brug!!

She (hmmmm, how come brugs are always a lady?) is darkening up this morning.

they always get girly names maybe? Except for Dr. Seuss and Herrenhausen Garten. I use male references with them.

If I had Whiskers, I'd have a bit of a quandry on my hands. First urge would be a masculine reference but then again, I remember one of my best friend's aunts when I was a kid....
it could go either way. :)

The pictures I took reminded me of a painting. So I played a little with my photo editing program and came up with this picture.

Beautiful Loretta. I thought it was a peach color. They call them "she", 'cause they are so pretty and smell good! ha

listen to your kids new 'Black Eyed Peas' cd.
One of the songs is about hooking up in a bar I guess. There's a line
"..and if she's UGGGGGly, get drunk!"

mabye why I say nice things to the field of blue flowering chicory across the road or even whisper sweet nuthin's to dandelion and thistle just before I nuke 'em.

Monika,
I didn't know that it was candida. I guess I assumed it was versicolor. And we all know what happens when you assume? It makes me an .......:{
