A new white thank you Shirley Morr

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

This a cross by Shirley Morr and what a beauty it is. Dr. D x Whiskers. Edited to say it is also fragrant.

Nice. Her tendrils are long enough to tie knots in. LOL Not that I'd do that. Been liking long tendrils ever since I saw my first whiskers a few years back.

Barb, that is beautiful. How is its bug resistance? I'm thinking of getting rid of Whiskers, but then when I see things like this, I might need to rethink it.

Please e-mail me. We need to talk. There is a shortcut between Poplarville and Hattiesburg.

And it is blooming in hundred degree weather and the blooms last for several days even in that heat. A very sturdy flower and fragrant.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Got to love a good white. I like the shape and the low calyx.

Springfield, OH(Zone 5b)

Gorgeous! Nice to hear that it is sturdy also!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Nice!!! She's definitely my kind of Brug standing up to this heat and humidity! with frangrance also! Is she a keeper for you???

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Linda, Is she fragrant??

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Very pretty and long tendrils.

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

another nice one... congrats Bward and Shirley!
I've got one of her crosses with buds we'll get to see soon.

How would you describe the fragrance? Is it the lite citrus version or some stronger babypowder (my nose tells me) flavor?

That bright white and shape would be very welcome if it likes to flaunt it's perfume.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Very lovely....would be beautiful in a Night Garden.... (wink wink nudge nudge)...:~)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yours is too cute Barb, she looks like a young colt, all legs.

Boy Linda, yours is a great looker also. I just love these long tendrils.

OH NOOOOOOO, do you think my favorites might be changing to whites??? You must admit they have such an elegance to them.

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

Kell, you can't go white. Then you'd have to dye your hair white instead of pink, and you'd look like everyone else when you retire. Stay pink, girl ! LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You are so right Mary, what was I thinking??? And I can't afford a whole new wardrobe either. I don't look as hot with white hair either. Pink forever!!

Me with white hair. I do look like everyone else!!

Due to illness, I haven't been here to read for a long time and I have to say I just now found this thread. Also have to say that it isn't my cross. I'm sorry Barb. I've never had Dr. D. and have never even used pollen from that plant. I hope the person who made the cross will step up and take credit for it.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Shirley, It is great to have you back. I hope you are feeling better and have a full speedly recovery.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. I hope it will be a speedy recovery too, but six weeks is six weeks any way you look at it.

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Such a coincidence that you are showing two lovely whites; I have an unamed one in a more shaded area that attracted me to its rich scent; then I saw the blossoms, and they are so pure and clean that I thought I'd take a picture tonight to say "don't forget about the whites!"
and here you are already reminding us!

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Shirley, hope you are doing well. Jeanette
