This is an 8 X 8 ft area around my pool filter and pump, it's got a concrete slab for the equipment to sit on surrounded by lattice, 8 x 6 x 8'tall. Mostly what you see is blue sky vine and Lady Margaret passiflora(sorry, she wasn't open this morning when I took the pic, too early). There is also a carolina jessamine, a pink lemonade honeysuckle, a purple trumpet vine, a pinwheel jasmine and mandevilla vine in there somewhere, but I think they're pretty much smothered by now.
We took a machete to this whole thing about a month ago, can't even tell it was cut back.
The vine that covered south TX
Thanks for showing us how tropical vines are SUPPOSED to look! LOL I only DREAM of mine looking like that.
Please take a rake or other sharp implement when you go out cala--sorta looks like it might have a mind of its own!

edited for spelling--seems like Ican't spell "boo" without parental support! Really bad when the "editing" needs several revisions........

Deb, I worry sometimes that the vine will crawl thru the window one night and will take over my house!
That is so amazing! Watch out!! It may come through your window at night when you least expect it!!!
My kudzu looks like that. Susie that reminds me of the movie "Little Shop of Horrors." Where the plants started eating everything up. Do the plants sing?
OK, now y'all have gone and made me nervous! I'm getting the machete out tomorrow!
Looks like the plant that ate Cleveland!
LOL!
I chopped it back but I think it grew two ft overnight! It's starting to creep over the top of the house and across the sidewalk toward the pool.
The electronic timer on the pool had to be reset and I walked behind that wall of vines. I should never have gone back there, lol, it's a jungle! I was expecting monkeys and big snakes to jump out at me and I honestly saw those vines waving in the air, trying to grab my arms and imprison me forever in a wall of vines!
Too funny! I think it wants to see the sights....lol!!!
:) Donna
It probably wanted to take a quick dip in the pool--can't say as I blame it!
