Can someone tell me how to start it.Thanks,Jody

Hi Jody,
I usually start my cuttings in water. I place them in a bright position but out of direct sunlight. The cuttings this way remain fresh and firm until they put out roots which is when I pot them up in a well drained mix of perlite and a peat based compost. (About 1/3 perlite to 2/3 compost.) They then grow away strongly and I have very little failures this way.

Another way is to pot the cutting up in a well drained soil mix such as the one above and then to enclose the cutting and pot in a clear plastic bag or something that will retain humidity around the cutting until it roots. Basicaly the priority is not to let the cutting dehydrate until it has formed sufficient roots to support itself.

After that, let it grow away..!

Good luck,

Matt
