Birth of a Hornworm

Isn't he just precious? He's wiggling out of his egg. That horn is almost as big as his body! :) I see these babys quite often but they disappear after a week or so and never cause major problems. I guess other bugs eat them before they can grow.

That is just too cool Vee8ch!! I think these are so beautiful! I had one once on a tomato plant.

This is him the next day. Too cute! He has since disappeared. Hope something didn't eat him. Probably he will return some night as a 50 pound worm that eats everything in its path. ha!
