on my gold koi i knoticed one of his eyes looked funny.
i got him in the net finally and it looks like a white patch
over the black pupil and at the bottom of the eye is a
little bloodshot/ blood spot.
Could this be a injury or sickness ?

Is the eye bulging or sticking out from the fish's head? Goldfish sometimes get a condition (bacterial I think) called popeye that is easily treated with medication but I have never seen it on a koi. If he could have scraped against something and damaged the eye, it will likely heal on its own, but I would watch him for any signs of further infection in it. Are all the other fish okay?
nope , not sticking out , looks more like a white patch on it with blood spots.
i think he hit it on somehting.
last night he was slow moving and did look sick , he passed away during the night.
just found him under the plants.
the other 2 fish seam to be doing fine racing around the pond.
I just checked the ph with a ph pen and its 7.9 , i need to get some other
stuff this week to check out the water more just in case. ammonia might be
up there now that the birds think it a toilet / bird bath.
Sorry about your fish. It's always a bummer when something happens to one of them. Keep an eye on the others. Ph of 7.9 is a little high, but koi are usually pretty tolerant of high ph. Just don't adjust it too fast if you decide to, slow change is easier on them than fast change.
yep on droping the Ph slowly. i got some Ph down for plant use (hydroponics)
and that will work nicely in there.
Got more fish today to keep the others happy.
