Boy, you are really good. How do you get the flutterbies to sit still for you?

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

just stand still by flowers and they will eventually come to you lol although this one didn't seem to mind me at all

Tallahassee, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh, okay. (Way too hot for that right now, but I can see where a tripod is going to come in handy.)

Now, explain how you could be several hundred miles north of me, yet we're in the same growing zone? ;>)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I am south of you. I live 1/4 mile from the gulf of mexico lol

I am soooo dyslexic! I saw "Ocean Springs" and thought... Maryland. I just now saw the "MS" which means, of course, Mississippi.

nevermind

Incidentally, there are parts of southern Maryland that jut out into the Atlantic that are in, surprise, zone 8. Who'da thunk it?

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

I have these little guys in my yard a lot. I raised one inside once, and it had the tiniest chrysalis!! I have tons of Frogfruit that they use as a host plant, but haven't bothered to go thru it looking for any cats. Just too tiny!

Elkton, MD(Zone 7a)

It's no surprise to me, Dogzilla. I live in northern Maryland and trust me this state is a hot, humid, bug-ridden swamp.

:D

I've had quite a few little visitors this month, but your teeny butterflies are prettier than mine.

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

nice capture, Donna.

hmmm.. I have some frogfruit.. but haven't seen any of the butterflies yet to have cats.. for me, it has been a very slow year for sightings.. or else it's been too darn hot to be outside for any length of time.

it is just starting to pick up for me

Mc Call Creek, MS

Good shot again, Donna! Yep! I believe that's him!
