CLOSED: Seed Bank Info Needed.

Does anyone know how to start a seed bank?
We are thinking about stating one and don't know how to go about it.
Any help you can give would be very much appreciated.

I guess I did not explain very clearly what we are trying to accomplish.
We are a group of native plant gardeners and we want to pool our seeds in a holding place, that would be the bank, and then distribute them to the members as needed.
We just don't know the machanics of doing it, or how complicated it might be.
Have any of you done something like it, or similar, and what was your experience?

Thank you for your response Naien. Josephine.

A woman I am familar with began a Seed Bank already - with bankers set up around the country (s). It is a new project, still getting their feet wet, but the concept is sound. You donate seeds, then withdraw some others. No fees, just donations. That way spare seeds are ditributed to where they will be used & appreciated. It began as a shoot off of Organic Gardening, but it is its own entity for now. It is under Seed Group in Yahoo. It is a great idea, with everyone cooperating with one another, & no profits to drive it.
