DH and I made a day trip today to Schumacher's. Hotter than h...., but I came home with a Jeep-load of great plants. I really wanted some Pride of Barbados, after seeing them in full bloom in San Antonio last week, and who could have resisted a gallon sized plant for $2? How did we live without the internet and Google? Never mind the gas it took to get there! All the one-gallon plants were marked down to $3.50, and the 4" pots were $1.60. LOTS of salvias came home with me! Then we detoured through Stonewall for some peaches and by Wildseed Farms for a quart of Ornamec. I am going to wipe that bermuda grass out of the flowerbeds eventually. A good day!
Last fall it seems Schumacher's had their one gallon plants half price -- 2 for $5. I'm going to be watching!
Schumacher's Hill Country Gardens
A few of us stopped at Schumacher's the day after the Austin Nursery Date, we took advantage of their fine prices, too! Definitely one to watch!
Where is it? I am heading to San Ann this weekend and would love to see this!
