I love this one Trish! The only hedychium I have blooming thus far is Beni-Oiran. I've got buds on most of the others, though.

Very prety Trish. Does it have a heavy scent?

Trish,
Does yours put out a second set of blooms off of the same bract. Mine does. I had a pic of mine last year, but may have deleted it last week when my computer was acting up. I'll have to check.
Mine has not scent. Although it is about to bloom again--any day now.

thanks all!! Yes, this one does have a fragrance. Not as strong as the coronarium but still very pleasant.

edited to add.. No Janet. it doesn't set a second set

I think that is the one of mine that has been blooming for the last few weeks. Greenii put out a few flowers yesterday

Somebody at the New Orleans Bot. plant sale said that the lighter the flower, the stronger the scent. Does that sound right?

hmmmm... don't know about that Roz.. I've had some in the past that have had very pale colors and no fragrance at all.
