Look a little picked cause my neighbor left them out in the sun accidentally. But these things will root so easily, I hate to discard. I would give priority to somebody who has pink yarrow seeds/division or plant, but postage will be fine if I dont hear from someone about a trade within 24 hrs. these need go to soon. thanks
CLOSED: I have 10 babies of neomarica gracillis
I don't have what you have requested, but if you don't find a trade, I'd love to get some from you for postage.
Thanks!
raingazer, they are yours if I don't hear from anybody about pink yarrow by 7pm tomorrow.
Hm.. I've got plenty of pink yarrow, I could send you a nice clump for one offset or one division... It'll have to be an indoor plant for me since my garden becomes tundra later in the year, how many plants are you trading? If there's only one I'd be happy to send you pink yarrow for postage and let Raingazer grab the iris, looks like it might be happier in their zone.
with zone envy,
Byron
Oh.. yeah it says ten right in the title. Well, I'd love one or two to try, I'm going to see if any of the yarrow is blooming well enough to photo for you, we just got a lot of rain but we'll see.

splendid! I have enough for the two of you. raingazer I'll send your 10 today and darwin about 6-8. Remember, my neighbor left them out in the sun (after cutting) so they'll need some attention for 1 week or so. stick in good potting soil and in about 2 weeks (if you're inpatient like me) you can peek for roots. I'm not sure about Tenn, but Byron you are correct about winter protection.
I have them planted in full shade and full sun. Sun ones look good but growing at a much slower rate. OK by me. I recently saw in a thread that somebody had potted in a hanging basket and it looked pretty good. Sort of like that indoor house plant, spider plant.
Look in this thread later for a pix I posted in spring showing my neighbor's mass planting. That's what I'm going for. I will not take that long.
Raingazer send me your address. Darwin, I'm assuming your address is current as posted in the exchange. I'm the addy exchange also.
I will close this thread.
Wow, that planting is amazing looking.. what a great flower!
I definitely forgot to 'watch' this thread. Do you want me to send the yarrow out now or wait until Monday? It's a pretty tough little plant so it might be alright over the weekend in a box somewhere, then again if I dig it Monday morning and send it off Monday afternoon, you might get it on Wednesday, if not by Thursday definitely, and the stress might be low enough that the buds on it now won't blast.
Yes, my addy is current ;) Let me know what you want me to do as far as shipping, and thanks,
Byron.
Byron, I would prefer monday. I'm glad you like it, you are going to enjoy it
Howdy. I sent your package yesterday by priority mail, you should get fri. or sat. at latest. I would prefer it if you would send it monday. Don't know if you have done much trading, but just in case, you will want to remove as much dirt off the plant you dig as possible. that will help "lighten" the package and thus reduce postage. The standard protocol is to send via priority mail so plant don't suffer too long from being in a dark box, hot warehouse, etc.
I'm glad you like it, you are going to enjoy this plant. I will greatly appreciate it if you let me know when/how your plant arrives.
regards,
Absolutely, I haven't done much trading but I've gotten good feedback from all of them, plants arriving healthy etc. I've been washing all dirt off and then bagging plants with soaked egg crate.. that foamy mattress stuff? Seems to work out alright. I'll be sending your yarrow out Monday, and will let you know when I get your package. Thanks again.
Hey again, your package came yesterday, these guys look great! I'm going to dig up as much of the yarrow as I can, and send it out Monday. Thanks much!
Byron.
Byron, the yarrow arrived to its new home in perfect condition. soaking tonight, will be planted tomorrow. There was a beginning bloom and it happens to be the perfect pink for what I had in mind. thank you so very much. going to post feedback now.
