The plant pictured here has indeed produced both flowerbuds and medium lavender colored flowers,please see the additional photo posted to see the unopened buds

The flowerbud is also showing a natural coating of a light colored yeast on the peduncle...I hope to be able to clarify any symbiotic relationship of the yeast and Ipomoea setosa.
I will post flower pictures here to the Database just as soon as an adequately representative flower is available.
