Waterfall Help

Douglas, AK(Zone 6a)

I wanted a pond & waterfall- and as per usual, I just jumped right on in and started digging. The hillside that the falls are being built on are very steep, and since putting the liner down I've discovered a drainage problem!

The rock wall is almost vertical, so on top of the liner, I added a 2" layer of concrete for strenghth. I've looked at hundreds of waterfall pictures, and I can't find anything that anyone has built that looks like what I'm winding up with.

Do you have any photos of your project? I'm not sure what you are asking. . .

Yeah, a pic (or few) would be helpful. Also, what sort of drainage issues are you having? Leaking?

Sorry, I was more than a little excited. And since my last post, we've had a mudslide. I will shoot some digital photos and try to figure out how to upload them.

Our house is on a hillside at the base of a mountain. All the water that runs down the hill runs through our yard, either on top of the ground, or under it. The weight of the soil/water was too much for the severity of the slope and it has now come down. The falls portion will have to be scrapped for this year, as now a retaining wall must be built and the mud removed from the pond.

Bummer! Let us know how it goes. . .
