Flower on EE Illustris

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I've had this plant for eons and this is the first flower I've ever seen. I think there is a second one coming. I pulled this particular plant for a trade, then it bloomed the following day and now I've decided to wait until after flower is spent.

Have you ever tried to pollinate them? I guess we need to ask Ely about that- I think he knows about everything there is to know about ele ears.

Boy, I sure am slow!!!After so long around here it just dawned on me the origin of Ely's name. He's the ee expert.

about pollination, i'm not there yet. This is the first flower ever, which BTW, is already shriveling, but another is coming. Maybe I'll get into that next year.

I do not have a clue how to do this. But I think it would be fun to try to get that perfect ele ear.
