This is a cutting that I purchased off of eBay (from tctopcat) back in the spring. It is a double and supposed to turn an orangie color. This is the second bloom on her and I haven't seen any tinges of color. I was just wondering if anyone else had this and what luck they were having with it? This bloom is in it's second day and sure doesn't appear to like our heat, but tends to stay bug free.
MaryKay, is anyone else growing her?
sure is pretty
She sure IS pretty. No...not growing that one but would like to.
Ive not heard of this one. Congratulations on the bloom tho! How does it hold up, and look to you? Does she smell good? Oh what I wouldnt give for a bloom!
Brin, Is it my eyes or does it sorta look like a double?? It's very pretty but if it doesn't like your heat, it would HATE mine, whew!!
Gee Brinda, I think mites have gotten to her. Looks like mite damage on the leaves if I can be so bold as to diagnose long distance.
I tell you I have no experience with your ebay dealer, but a while back 2 doubles caught my fancy. I emailed the seller to see how old these brugs were. Evidently, they were seedlings that had bloomed once, and the seller cut up the plant to sell. No way you can tell a plant by its first bloom. Sometimes not even by the first season!
brinda they are beautifull love that one.. blessings.
Twyla
Funniest part about Mary Kay is I would think she'd be light cadillac or grand am pink!
She is pretty though!
Thanks everyone. Yes Sherry, she is a double. I'd say for the miserable heat we have had (over 100*) she's holding up good.
Yes Kell, the leaves you see are like that from mites, but it is on a different plant. I noticed that also when I posted that pic. LOL Hmnmmm...that is interesting Kell about this seller. I purchased from her last year, but not new ones. It will be interesting how this one turns out.
No Brinda, I was not referring to your seller. To be honest I can't remember who it was. But once again it reminded me of BUYER BEWARE!! LOL
I have four, PB, RD, PF and Rafaela that are really wilted today. They pop right back, the minute the sun continues it's route, but I'm already working on a way to rearrange things. I didn't have the opportunity to watch my garden closely last year and I have several that are simply planted in the wrong place. I'm tempted to chop them down now and get them to their new digs, but it's kinda stupid to tackle it now...
