I bought two of these little tree's, they are now about 6' tall and some one told me it was a Rose of Sharon and finally it has bloomed so many be someone can tell me for sure what I have here..
Is this a Rose of Sharon
Yes, that is what it looks like.
Appears to be a "Rose of Sharon", Althea, hibiscus, Malvaceae, perhaps 'Morning Star' ... very pretty.
Thanks so much..
Thats a "Rose of Sharon". I have not see one in several years. I had forgotten how beautiful they are.
vs it is a very pretty RofS. BTW is it in a pot or what is that you have around the base of it. I really like it.
Linda
sorry haven't been on and missed your message Linda, but no I have two in the ground on each side of my fountain and that around it is a little like fence around the base my hubby made for them..But they sure are not as pretty as last year, beetle's are eating them up and I have tried to get rid of them on the blooms but most have just fell off. I don't think I have ever had so many beetle problems as I have this year and they have about eaten all the leaves of my MG.
Here is the picture of the other and it has problems but I do not know what it is..maybe a fungus ? maybe someone will have a solution.
Thanks
Vickie
