Purchasing plumerias

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Is Stokes a good place to buy plumies?

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

No. Their prices are too high, and their rating is terrible: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/1232/ Try Florida Colors instead: http://www.floridacolors.com/

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I used them, was 200% satisfied. You will, too.

Nery, you bought from Stokes or FC?

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I bought from FLA Colors and that's who I was recommending.

Decatur, IN(Zone 5a)

I bought one from http://www.mauiplumeriagardens.com/ and I must say that it was just as described, huge & super healthy. I've also bought from the Ebay sellers and highly recommend are; mups03 (aka mauiplumeriagardens), plumeriaguy, ncasselberryfla, 1000blooms, & Triciabug2003.

San Marcos, CA(Zone 10a)

Another good eBay seller is Hawaiisandy. She is the daughter-in-law of Jim Little. All the cuttings I have purchased from her have been thick, healthy, and multi-tipped. They also rooted really well.

We have a pretty small list of Plumeria sources in the Watchdog: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/advanced.php?category=129

We don't generally list the eBay sellers unless they have an off-eBay website they sell through, too. Given that, are there any other mailorder sources we should list?

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Hi Terry,

I think most of them are there. So far, I see a few that can be added:

Aloha Palms: http://www.alohapalms.com/

Dole: http://mgrsti5481a.seamlesstech.biz/Merchant/

Tropic Nature: http://www.tropicnature.net/

Plumeriathai.com: http://www.plumeriathai.com/index1.php

Jim Little is a giant in the plumeria business and has a business but no web site. He sends out a published list each year. His address is: Jim Little Nursery & Farms, P.O. Box 744, Haleiwa, Hawaii 96712 His daughter-in-law, Sandy Lavarias, known as HawaiiSandy on eBay, sells only her father-in-law's cultivars. They are both highly reputable and highly respected.

Ebay is a good source of plumerias, but there are good and bad sellers there, of course, and the only way to tell the good ones apart from the bad ones is word of mouth, I guess, and from their feedback.

Thanks, Clare.

I've added the missing ones, and added the Plumeria cuttings category to some we already had listed (but not within that category.)

The list is at least a little longer than it was before: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/advanced.php?category=129

If anyone knows of other Plumeria sources, please tell us and we'll be sure they are added ASAP. And please be sure to leave feedback for the vendors you've purchased from. Remember, what you know helps others (your fellow growers and vendors ;o)

Thanks, Terry:-)
