I have always loved turtles and about 5 years ago my dad found a baby box turtle under his mower and gave it to me, I named him "frankie", well my girls did cause they were small at the time and watched that cartoon turtle show called "Franklin"...but anyways such a sad end to the story the frankie story...my girls had a hamster at the time and he got into the tank with Frankie and killed him ;*{...it just about broke my heart, i had him like 3 yrs and loved him. Well the hamster left us soon after that, gave him to a friend. And since then i have had countless turtle but not a small enough one like frankie. Well i was praying one day about 2 weeks ago that god would send me a little box turtle and that i would treat him right and make sure nothing happened to him and low and behold I was driving not to far from my house almost a hit a baby box turtle...I stopped the car and ran and got him and I just love him to death....I know many think that keeping a wild turtle is dangerous or wrong but i just love him. I've got him a nice set up that he loves and i was just watching him eat some frosted flakes and peaches, it just warmed my heart. I will have to take a pic of his setup and show you all...but for now here is a pic of my baby.
