hi, I have a RoS in a big pot and today I noticed a little baby, maybe 6 inches tall. The big one is a double pink with a burgundy center, very pretty. Of course, I have hibiscus all over the place, so I suppose it could be someone else's child.
So, I have 2 questions:
1) is it viable at this size? or should I leave it there longer?
2) would anyone be interested in being my 'guinea pig'? I have never sent plants to anyone before, and I want to give it a try. I will pay the postage, I just want some feedback on how she arrives, and if I packed it good enough for an official trade or postage swap. I am trying to root some things now to trade this fall, but I need some practice.
If anyone wants this RoS, please reply or send me a D-mail. Thanks :) Rachel
PS I will post a pic of the big plant tomorrow if anyone is interested.
Anyone want a rose of sharon seedling?
Rachel,
I would love to be your guinea pig.

Hi Rachel,
I am glad to be your guinea pig.
Connie
Rachel, do you happen to have a bright orange hibiscus either single or double you would be interested in trading a cutting.
Thanks Dee and Connie, I think I only have one, but I have some things that I am trying to root also. I will D-Mail you about this.
Stetchworth, I have an orange double, but it is not bright orange - not pastel or peach- just plain orange. I'll try to find a picture of it. I don't think it is bright enough for you, but I am in love with hibiscus so I'll keep my eyes peeled for you.

Hi Rachel, would love to see a picture of it, please d-mail me. I will send you a list of what I have maybe there is something you want.
Thanks,
Vi
I'm sorry Vi, I forgot to upload this picture.
This is a tropical hibiscus, is that what you wanted? I love the flowers on this, but it may not be orange enough for you. The color in the picture is accurate on my monitor. It has been blooming non stop and those little &%^$ Japanese beetles haven't been eating it like they have my other ones and my poor, poor roses.
Rachel
Rachel, you have mail.
