Hey - I'm back from the weekend at the lake. It was fun in some respects, but he children were just awful and boy did dad chew their ears when they got home. Now grandma (who the lake place actually belongs to) has been drug in, and we will be hearing from her shortly. Russ and I worked the WHOLE time, picking up even after adults, paid all the gas for the boat, mowed the lawn, took the boat back (hour job because of the canvas) and then came back to an abandoned house that had food and dishes everywhere, bathrooms weren't cleaned - he was very ticked off. I was upset because the oldest 4 pretty much took the boat for themselves, not thinking about the other 4 kids that wanted to play as well. It was one selfish weekend for them, and boy could I use a bath in pepto to cool off!

ya know Kell, it's been like a slow volcano building up for quite some time. It is hard to talk to Russ about "his" children's behavior - I think that happens with alot of split families. It took his college buddies being there and seeing it themselves and pointing it out to get him to wake up. In a way, I think as bad as it was, it was a good thing in the long run. :-)
