This is not the varigated ginger. I have it going in several areas.

Have lots of Spiderwort seeds right now. Really like the little clumps of flowers and am trying to naturalize them in a semi-sun area.

Have Perilla Magilla which is my favorite fake. People think it is coleus. Have it going in a couple places--more sun, less sun--to see the color changes.

The Apple Blossom amaryllis is stunning in spring. The green tops have not died back yet, but still should travel ok.

Have a papaya, a pineapple and a couple loquats ready to go into the ground. Am taking a loquat as a housewarming gift today!

Just saw a gardening show with a segment on a beautiful old (since 1917) California garden...and how large some plants can get. But not sure which fruits work for you.

I sure hope you find something tantalizing... :)

Oh, I could cut you a clump of African Iris.
