July blooms (believe it or not)

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

I found some, I found some! The blooms are sparse and few, but they're here. This one is Edraianthus graminifolius. The tiny bit of blue in back of it and to the left is the Polygala calcarea, which evidently is going to bloom again this year.

This is Primula x juliana "Allure"

I lost the tag for this, but I think it's some kind of Lychnis or Silene. S. plankii, maybe? Todd, are you anywhere around? You'll know this one.

Can't resist illustrating my zone-pushing mania. At the base of an alpine container, I have several Plumeria cuttings that are rooting successfully. Can you see the leaves already forming on one of them?

This is Origanum "Kent Beauty."

Busted!!! Here's the reason some of the plants don't make it. This is Ambrosia, weaseling her way between the pointed sticks to get into the container.

Oh, boy. Found one more. It was under a rose and I didn't see it until I trimmed the rose back. Lots of rose petal debris around it, but it's blooming. It's Silene hookeri.

Wow! A lot for July! That cyclamen africanum is lovely - the blooms so big and
the leaves so tiny.

Yes, Tammy, isn't that a great Cyclamen? The leaves do get bigger and they have the most beautiful veining.

Here's a Primula acaulis that just started reblooming. Nothing exotic about acaulis, but I love the shape of the blooms.

I'll walk my camera around today but I mostly have rudbeckias, phlox &
daylilies now so I'm not optimistic I'll find any little jewels blooming here.
Tam.
