well...the anticipation must be the fun in this one..

too dark to get a pic right now...I've had an Isabella cutting since last spring..never bloomed last year..had countless excitement ...near freezes etc during the winter.. now it has finally bloomed...and it has about as much chance of being Isabella as I do !

I'll try to take a pic in the morning but I wouldnt bet any money on it being correctly ID'D. The bloom seems small...very yellow right now..but the calyx comes way down on the corolla.

oh well...I didnt really need another pink...I'll find someone to give the "whatever" to. :)

Ahhh, so you are disappointed? Maybe it will look better tomorrow than Isabella would have been. I was trying to think which one it could be by your description but I can't imagine what it may be. Jesse Noel is on the smaller side, yellow and had a slightly low calyx. That is the only one that comes to my mind.

I will be looking for your picture! I love mysteries.

Well..the bloom looks a bit larger this morning. The calyx has several teeth. There is no space. Somewhat long corolla teeth.

I think it has a bit of fragrance..but I was out there doing so much sniffing at the others that I am not sure :)

You still do not love it? That is my generally my favorite type of bloom. Nodding and happy. It looks apricot to me not yellow. I really like it!! Great pictures!!

It may grow on me but I hate it when things are not what I thought they were.

I think it is a lovely bloom but I understand your disappointment. If you will email me, I can send you some Isabella cuttings.

That is very kind of you...but no need. I didnt really need another pink as I've gotten a few that I like . I was just disappointed that the brug wasnt what I thought...and now what is it ! :)

very sweet of you though..and I appreciate it :)
