Whiskers Leaves - WOW

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

My gardening neighbor came by yesterday and just flipped when she saw the size of these leaves, so I took some pics to show you. Quite frankly, the plant looks kind of dorky to me, just because the leaves are so big for the size of the plant!

Here is a pic of the whole plant.

This particular Whiskers is the "top" of a plant that broke off last winter when I was moving it from the sunroom to the bedroom for the evening. The other plant, the part that I didn't have to re-do is much much taller, but the leaves are not as big as this one.

Isn't this one kinda funny looking? lol!

NOOOOOO, LOL!! Looks like he has his juvenile leaves on. And they are such a deep, deep green. You are doing all things right it looks like Karrie!

Well - I never thought of it that way! Thanks! The only leaves that have been removed from this plant were the ones at the very bottom that were on the ground - I try to keep the leaves off the ground because I learned they are more prone to diseases and fungus if they are touching the ground. I do the same thing with my tomatoes.

Big ole' floppy thangs, huh?

Very healthy looking. Love the serration and the color.

Looks fantastic Karrie. I also just love the serration on whiskers leaves. Those are really good sized leaves and healthy looking also. I think the leaves give off that look of beware I'm dangerous. LOL
Edit- I have also found that the garden pests don't seem to bother whiskers leaves also. Not one slug slithered up to take a chew off him.
