Chickens versus tomato hornworms

We found a bunch of tomato hornworms, I mean alot! We pulled them off and threw them on the ground and the chickens went crazy for them. They were snatching them up and chasing each other to get them from each other. I'm hoping this won't make the chickens sick or anything?
