yeowwzer!
You must keep us updated. Is this your first with MH?
After the banter about it earlier this season I found and ordered one and boy she did NOT like the trip. Immediately dropped all leaves and pouted. I went ahead and put that one inground where it's shaded from noon on and it's rebounded well. The supplier even sent another later and really surprised me. I'd imagine I'll be ordering from them again for my next 'Must Have'.

Yes this is my first with all my Brugs, but this is definatly the longest bud I have seen.

Hey, Doris, maybe that drought wasn't as bad as all that - I've never seen such a long bud, wow!!!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Wow! How exciting! Congratulations!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Sherrylike, I think because of the drought my brugs got more fert, and ES than normal, but it's tough hauling that water in buckets, we need a good drenching.

You are right Doris, nothing beats a good rain, unless it's too much rain, lol, we've had both this growing season. I water by bucket every day, I let it sit out over night and then fill it back up to let it sit out all day before I use it again. Occasionally, when it's really dry, I use a soaker and move it around all day. I've not found any easy way to do any of it. Today, I'm going to wash all my plants, they have tree drip and it looks so ugly and I'm sure it's attractive to bugs...

Sherry I now have 93 Brugs mostly seedlings in the ground, my headace now is which ones do I try to save over winter, by digging up and which ones let freeze, and I hate the choices

I know what you mean about the rain. A town about 50 miles NW of us got a good rain yesterday, I mean a really nice rain. Guess what we got? We were lucky enough to get a little thunder. But my garden got a good hour of watering from the sprinkler.

Kareoke I know where you are coming from when you talk about which ones you are going to over winter. I have 3 variegated that I am going to try to save. Then I will take cutting from the ones that did the best and I plan on keeping them in a bubbler for the winter. Even if they don't bloom this year, but if they have nice foliage I want to keep a cutting of them. But if I should get lucky and have some bloom then I will for sure keep a cutting of it.

Kareoke I forgot to tell you congradulations on your very long bud. I really like the looks of Milk and Honey. I am adding it to my want list.

Good grief, Doris!!! I had no idea you had so many, WOW!! What in the world WILL you do this winter??? I do know that you can take cuttings and set up a bubbler system that will take up very little space and, I think, you can even set them up in your house. I'll know next spring for sure because I'm going to do that this year, lol!! Last year, all mine were in my GH. This year, I'm going to use my son's garage because they don't need light (I don't think, haha) and, if I find that they do, I'll set up lights, when the time arrives...

Well sherry I just had a room added to the back of my house, it is only 14' X 14' but big enough to put plenty of plants in, I will just take good size cuttings off the Brugs that do good this summer, it will kill me to cut them down but they are already to big to dig up and pot.

This is the bud today, from top to bottom of just the bud it is 9" it also has the longest stem on the bud, I am anxiouse to see how long it will be when open.
