Favorite Waterliliy

Moscow, TN(Zone 7a)

It would be nice to see a picture of your favorite water lily. Hopefully by now everyone has some beautiful blooms to show off.

My favorite is Blue Gigantea, a tropical daybloomer from Austrailia.

My favorite tropical has become Electra. You dont hear alot about it but it overwintered GREAT as a tuber for me...broke dormancy quickly , bloomed first and has continued to have usually 2 blooms at a time all summer.

Loretta, that blue lily is amazing! :o) As of now, I've only got 2 varieties of waterlily. I've got 3 "Attraction", and 1 "Colorado". The Colorado hasn't bloomed yet, and I'm not sure it's big enough to bloom this year at all. Maybe next year. But my Attraction has grown very quickly (it was new this year), and has 1-2 blooms almost every day.

This miniature pink is something I'll be looking forward to getting better photographs of as the Summer progresses

They are all beautiful!
The Electra is very nice.I the way it is lighter towards the center then turns blue. Is the little pink minature a night bloomer. Do you know the name? Whatever it is it is a pretty lily.

I have Attraction and it is a good bloomer. Colorado is a real nice waterlily and hopefully you will get a few blooms this season. Thanks, the blue gigantea is as blue as it looks in the picture and stands up high out of the water.

Would love to see more!

The dinky little hot pink has no name, it was only a l'il seed last year, lol. It is a hardy water lily, not a trop

I'm real slow at thinking of names.

Perhaps, 'dinky pink'?

Well are'nt you clever growing waterlilies from seeds.I am not a good seed grower, let my freind start the seeds and if anything grows she will pass one on to me. Pink Pixie

Just had to show you this one!! I have no idea what it's called. When I bought it the container just said pink. It is really something.I have my first pond and am just as excited over it as I am my grandchild, little girl born Monday night!! Please excuse the green water, haven't got that under control yet.
