Have for trade Swiss Cheese Philodendron cuttings
I would be interested in cuttings of your swiss cheese philodendron. I have a rooted plant of split leaf philodendron.PLMK. Thanks
Patti
Hi Patti,
Do you have a photo of your split leaf philodendron? Does it look like the swiss cheese philo?
Hi Jenny,
Do you know the name of your philodendron?
No, and I have tried to find out the name, but haven't had any success. Just know that I have never seen another one (I inherited this plant). Jenny
Hi SCshopgirl,
Here is what I have. http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/2148/ I can also send you a picture of mine in the morning.

Patt-Wow it looks like a big leaf for sure. Don't think i'm really interested in one that big, but thanks for offering!
Jenny- Thanks for offering, but i think i have one very similar to that one. It's hard to know without the name. Have you tried posting it on the identification forum?
Yes, I tried and never got an ID. Thanks, Jenny
Pardon my barging in on this thread, since shopgirl & I have already swapped, but...
I was wondering if anyone had a philo that's sort of a combination of swiss cheese & split leaf, like the picture bermudiana posted in PF http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/12033/. We saw these in HI last year and just loved them!
SCShopGirl I would be VERY interested in some of your plant. I have Sweet Potatos: Tri-color, Lemon Lime and Blackie, I have Devil's Ivy (Pothos), I also have Mose In A Boat (it is a sort of Tradescantia like Wndering Jew however its leaves are dark purple on the outside, dark green inside and it flowers white. I love it!! Got it as a cutting from Hawaii.)
LMK!! Thanks!! Bonnie
Janet, i actually have all the plants in your photos, do you have any others?
Bonnie, do you have a photo of your Tradescantia like Wandering Jew ?
No problem critterologist! Good Luck finding that one!

Critterologist -
It seems like many of the monstera deliciosas will produce internal windowing on the leaves as they mature. I've even got albo-variegatas producing the windowing like that. As far as I can tell it has more to do with culture and maturity than with cultivar and variety. Which means, unfortunately, that a young start would probably not produce the effect for a while, and a more mature cutting which already had windows on the leaves would probably start pushing out less mature leaves until it got better established. Strong light, regular watering, and something to climb will all promote more mature leaves with a better cut pattern.
ooOOOhhhh! Thanks for the info, tropicalaria! That makes sense, as the plants we saw like that on the Big Island were really large. I also didn't realize philos liked strong light. I'm not sure I can make a space by a south window for a really big plant like that, as DH keeps telling me the morning room is overfull in winter! Hmmm....
OK, back to Jaimee's search! :-)
I do--unfortuately I am at the library--ever since our computer crashed in January. We have a new one now but no internet service. The library BLOCKS access to many sites so I cannot go to my photo storage and look for the specific photo for you. I will try though. I have been giving away clippings from this plant this year already and it has only gotten bigger and more solid--it now has 3-4 boats with the white flowers in them!! Beautiful!!
I have tried but for one the photo storage site where the photo is--Not only can I NOT get to it, but I can no longer remember the site address!! Woe is me!! Cannot upload photos at the library either. Sorry!!!
Bonnie
OH no,
Hmm, i'm just wondering if i have it already. Can you explain it better? I know thats hard to do.
Thanks,
Jaimee
Jaimee, why don't you post a picture of the one you have, and Bonnie can tell you if hers is different.
How about this?? I did a web search and found it!!

Bonnie,
You have d-mail!
No, I don't have many houseplants. But thanks for the offer anyway. I enjoy looking at so many different types of plants that I have never seen before. Maybe we can trade someting another time.
