Wonderful pics. Did you know that hummingbirds use spider webs to build their nests? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. I was watching one through binnoculars gather spider webs out of a tree that had many dead branches. I don't know of any other use for these webs unless they eat them.

The eggs are the size of your little fingernail.The web is a cushion, and an insulater. By putting her body on top of the nest she can provide heat and adjust the temprature too. Depending on how close the food is to the nest, it can take 10-30 days for babies to mature to flight time.She feeds them a mixture of bugs and nectar.-Rich
