Got me a good deal on some flat rocks so up went a pond.
i said up becouse i tried to dig and only got 3 inches then hit
a 4 inch root from the maple tree. what better to spoil a 6am
project. so off i went to get a trailer load of topsoil.
I used the topsoil to build up a mote where i wanted the pond
dumping a 5 gal pail of dirt and packing it down.
I just kept doing this till i got a good size berm with a nice flat
top about 8 inches wide to lay the rocks on.
then i stacked my rocks around it, working my way up, then caped
it off with more of the rocks. built a falls and the start of a biofilter.
after i got it all done I thought , hay some lites would be neet.
So i fed some wire in and out behind the rocks and wired it up to
those high intensity LED lights like whats on a key chain.
sealed the wireing up with a rubber product called coax seal.
this stuff is really sticky till it gets wet.
ok , here are some pics
my 40 bucks of rocks

New Pond
Beautiful pond and you sure got a great deal on the rocks. Nothing like a good deal to get the creative juices flowing. It looks like a magic pool.
BTW-Your picture files are very large about 3000k even though you resized them. I live out in a rural area with only dailup so it took a while to view them. . Does your photo program have an option on the quality when saving? I save mine at around 30%. They still look good but only average 30k in size.
Weird on the photo sizes , on my end there anyware from
98K to 180K most being in the 120K area .. I try to keep the
file size down before i upload them.
Oh, and thanks for the comments..
