This year my garden was on tour in the Friends of The Conservatory Garden Tour,
there were 11 gardens in all,
Even with the storm we had, Not one lily stem was broken, my gardens were ok,
Tour started at 10 and lasted till 4, and it sure was a busy place over here, people coming and going,
sure has been one busy week getting ready for it..

Wilma
Wilma, the link works fine.
Thanks for the lovely garden tour. The red lily is vibrant! and love your pond. It's obvious you've spent many many hours in you yard to get it the way you do.
Thanks MG99
Yes I sure do spend most of my time outside from Spring till Fall.
I just love being in my gardens,, and glad you liked the garden tour...
Wilma
Thanks for the tour, Wilma. I bet you were one of the highlights of the tour. Looks like you have very little grass if any. Aren't you a clever lady! Gorgeous garden. Thanks for sharing.
P.S. Those Hens and Chicks look soooo familiar.....oh yeah, I have some of their relatives!! :)
Thanks OFG, everyone that came by said they loved my garden and signed the guest book,
I have no grass at all, just what belongs to the city and I have already taken over a bit of it,,
Well hope those hens& chicks love living in BC. I am sure they do..
thanks for taking the tour..
Wilma
Wilma you did a marvelous job of your yard! Wanna come and do mine now??? :)
Thanks Lilypon, glad you liked the gardens,,
Well if you live closer would be fun to help you with your garden..
now off to the back yard to make a new flower bed..
Wilma
What a beautiful garden Wilma. Wow!!....you have so many lilies. Your ponds are gorgeous. I would love one like that with all the rock around the edges and the lovely water lily.
Sandy
We (MRLS) have told Madame Dillpickle that she gets no more lilies from ANYBODY unless her lilies (& iris) are named!!! Are you reading Wilma. I mean, seeing that Wilma knows all the names of her waterlilies, think the lilium deserve same treatment in her oh so beautiful garden.
Wilma's Tiger Babies was a wonderful stem at the NALS show. Beat all the others that were benched. Staged. Think you bench dogs, not stems.
Inanda laughing and laughing as she digs iris for NLIS sale.
Just went to get newspaper to see what our weekly garden column said about our NALS lily show. Well -- just nada about that. Column opened with WILMA. Our own Dill Pickle. Garden column discussed the various garden tours of the weekend with Wilma's garden picked out for special comments because it is so super.
Way to go Wilma
Inanda
Congratulations Wilma! :D Ü :D
All that hard work and imagination paid off Wilma. Congatulations to you and DH.
Thanks Ginny, Nightowl, Lilypon, OFG, Echoes,
my garden friend called me this morning and said you better go buy a paper,
I knew they would mention the garden tour, but was so surprised that I was mentioned..
and Ginny
I knew the name of my Lily that won 1st place,Tiger Babies,
Now wonder how come I knew that one,,
I will have to make tags and have to id them,,because everyone is on my case...
I knew stargazer as I had a tag for it,, and also knew Grand Cru..
which were my winning lilies brought 3 and won 3 ribbons..
Wilma
brugcrazy,
thanks, glad you liked the tour,
Yes the brugs are growing like crazy, unreal how fast they are growing,
even have one that I started from seed from(OGF) making a Y
I have just been feeding them and watering them like crazy in this hot weather..
Wilma
Congratulations on the accolades in the newspaper Wilma. You have a brug seedling that you started after the RU in April that's already making a Y? Wow!! Mine that I started back in Dec. are only starting to Y now. What are you feeding them?
Thanks nightowl,
I just feed then miracle grow, when I water,, really don't do anything special with them
How are the plumies doing??
Wilma
If you mean the ones I grew from the seeds you sent me, they're doing great. I have them outside. I would like to be able to put them down on the warm bricks on the patio when we have a hot day because I know that helps them grow, but they're so small I'm afraid the dog will pee on them. He has a tendency to do that to some of the smaller pots on the patio. I'll try to remember to take a picture of them tomorrow. They're all about 4" tall now.
I have another small plumie that I got at the RU. It was rather limp when I got it and I thought it would die but it doesn't look too bad either. I always wondered where it came from. I think someone sent them with Ginny. Was it you? If so...is it a seedling? Do you have the name of the plant the seeds came from?
Sandy
That was from me, Sandy. One was for you, the other one disappeared and Wilma got my other one. Am really glad that it has survived. Don't know the name but it is a yellow/white plumie. I agree, it was looking really sad at RU.
Now that all Wilmas brugs have survived -the ones from RU - I'll let you all know that they froze or at least were looking really limp and totally dead after their night in the cold BC mountains after my van broke down. I was really upset --- They survived though, with Wilma's TLC. So now we know that they will survive a tiny bit of freezing.
Inanda
Congrats, Wilma.
