Booms without a "Y" ??

Lilburn, GA(Zone 7b)

Can brugs bloom without a "Y" forming first?
I have a few that are starting to bud :-) but cannot find the "Y".
Figure y'all experts out there could set me straight......
By the way....86 today with afternoon thunderstorms....we have had rain everyday since Dennis came through. The new theme in my jungle out there is 'fungus amoung us", lol
thanks for your help!

Too bad we can't all share water with each other as easily as we share brugs! I hope your yard does not drown!

I have had brugs bloom with no apparent Y from cuttings. I always assumed that they must have been from pieces take from above the Y. That they were half of a Y, rooted.

Boy I know the fungus among us, I got it bad, I live in arkansas and we've had rain 3 days in a row, and a couple days before that a hard rain, I think we're caught up now on the no rain thing. I'm ready for a slow down.

Flamingo, I have three cuttings of DonnaB's Monster White, and they bloomed in their pots and the blooms were bigger than the plant, it was really cute. That happens when the cutting is made above the Y.....kathy don't wish away all the rain, I'd like one a week, send your extras to me, lol!!!

Wish it worked that way, I'd save my extra rain for a dry day too.
