need info on the Dallas area please

Hi yall,
I am needing some info on campgrounds near the Dallas Convention Center. Does anyone know of any in that area or within a half hour driving distance?

is this State Park a long drive from the convention center? The info says it is 20 minutes. I was wondering if anyone knows of it.

Cedar Hill really is about 10 miles south of downtown Dallas. I don't know of that park specifically, or if it really is 20 minutes, but I think it would meet your half hour driving time requirment... and I can't think of anything that would be any closer than that!

Thank you very much for the info.

It is a beautiful park Lisa. It is located in the "hills" of Dallas County and one of the prettiest areas around. It also sits on a nice lake. The next closest thing is Northeast in Lewisville, out at Lewisville Lake and it's about 25 minutes to the campground.

If you didn't have a 30 minute driving limit and it was say, 8 hours, you could come down here!

We are not 100% sure, but we are going to try to make it. We've always gone to the one in Alabama, but folks in the know say this is the one to see.
